“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.  Marianne Williamson

Hello, fellow Jackalopes!  I’m back from a mini-vacation with my family over the weekend.  What a great reminder that was…I have three children–an 11 yr old boy and boy/girl twins who are 7 yrs old.  Sometimes it seems like a worthwhile time would be expensive or elaborate in some way.  This little trip was neither.  We rented a hotel room for a couple of nights through Priceline.com, spent a wild day at a local waterpark and the next day floating down the Boise river in a 6 person raft.  We all swam in the hotel pool, ate restaurant food, watched Nim’s Island on the in-room movie system and generally had the time of our lives.

I’m starting a challenging new week rested, happy and a little sunburnt.  That’s about all you could ask from a vacation, right?  Maybe Fiji next year…or maybe not!  I had lots of fun with my family for under $500!

Make it a great Monday, my friends
